| Key risks | Tesofensine's main safety problem is cardiovascular: because it raises noradrenaline and dopamine, it tends to push up heart rate and blood pressure, and that — not a lack of effect — is why its obesity development stalled. Human trials also reported dry mouth, insomnia, nausea, constipation and mood or agitation changes. There is no long-term human safety record, and the research-market product is unregulated. | Tirzepatide's most common side effects are gastrointestinal: nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and constipation, heaviest while the dose is being raised and usually settling as the body adjusts. Less common but serious are acute pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, dehydration that can injure the kidneys, and low blood sugar when it is paired with insulin or a sulfonylurea.
